InnoSTARS Competition
– Healthcare and Biotechnology
The 2018 InnoSTARS competition is a platform that connects U.S.-based technology companies with Chinese investors, corporates, and strategic partners. Organized by the US China Innovation Alliance (UCIA) and China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC), supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the P.R. China (MOST), this competition aims to provide U.S.-based technology companies a better understanding of the market opportunities available in China.
How much time will companies have to present?
Companies will have 10 minutes to present, which includes Q&A.
Who will be in the audience?
InnoSTARS Preliminaries will have an audience including: corporates, early-stage technology executives, investors and investment advisors.
Why should companies compete?
Qualified preliminary winners will be extended an invitation to join the 2018 three-city China road-show to compete in the InnoSTARS Semi-finals, and potentially even the finals. The road-show will include introductions to Chinese environmental corporates, universities, regulators, and investors interested in U.S. innovation. Semi-finalists’ round-trip China airfare, hotels, and meals are covered by InnoSTARS, and winners receive cash prizes and media recognition.

Medical Device Innovation and Partnering Forum
MyBioGate is partnering with US China Innovation Alliance to co-organize the Medical Device Innovation and Partnering Forum at the 2018 US-China Innovation Summit. This forum will help medical device companies who are seeking Chinese market entry or additional investment sources to meet Chinese investors and explore potential opportunities. Areas of focus include in vitro diagnostics (IVD), cardiovascular, and surgical devices, medical imaging, dialysis and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to arrange pre-matched meetings with forum attendees during the two-day US China Innovation and Investment Summit.
The B2B matchmaking meetings bring together innovative companies who are seeking collaborators from both the U.S. and China. Last year the UCIS partnered with 77 organizations to arrange more than 300 B2B matchmaking meetings. 150 Chinese representatives and 290 U.S. representatives attended these meetings.
This year UCIS will bring together more than 500 participants, which includes over 200 representatives of industry-leading enterprises, investment firms and innovative companies from China, and 200 representatives of innovative technologies and companies from the U.S. who are seeking cross-border opportunities across a range of focused industries.
